Clay Smith Engineering, this pump surpasses any known mechanical fuel pump on the market today for efficiency and reliability for the price.
These pumps will supply 14-16 PSI fuel pressure and pump 140 GPH ( gallons per hour), free flow, though their specially designed 6-valve body. This massive flow will easily handle even the largest size Dominator Carburetors, on gas or alcohol.
* And, according to Dyno figures, it takes approximately 10 gallons of gas per 100 HP per hour, the Clay Smith Power Pumper will theoretically handle up to 1300 HP on gas or 1150 on alcohol !
** Installation Information
Your Camshaft has a Lobe on it that causes the push rod to move up and down- it is what makes the pump, "pump". This lobe on the camshaft needs to be positioned in a way that the fuel pump pushrod is in the block away from the pump. Rotate your engine until the fuel pump pushrod is up as far as it can go, it will make installing the pump a little easier. You can use white grease or something that will help you to hold the fuel pump pushrod up in its position as not to get the Arm of the fuel pump and the fuel pump pushrod jammed causing the fuel pump arm to unhook.

Just replaced my old Clay Smith BBC fuel pump with a brand new one. The old one lasted almost 20 years and was still working; fuel pressure was fluctuating somewhat so I went ahead and replaced it with the exact same model pump from Clay Smith Cams. These pumps are the best!
This fuel pump and bypass system is where its at. It has cleaned up my fuel problems and gives me the exact fuel pressure I needed. I wouldn't run anything else.
